US rules require only the total weight of the microorganisms, which can include dead cells (NIH ODS, Probiotics (health professional)). What does Daily Value not established mean on the label?
It means no reference amount has been set for that line, so the panel prints no percentage. It is not a rating of the ingredient.
A Daily Value is a labelling reference, such as 28 g a day for dietary fibre, and not a personal target (FDA, Daily Value on the Nutrition and Supplement Facts labels). The inulin and resistant starch lines total 311 mg, about 1% of that fibre figure.
