Chicory Root Inulin 211 mg printed

What it is
A fibre from chicory root. People do not digest it; gut bacteria ferment it, which is why it is called a prebiotic candidate.
Research on file
Small trials of inulin-type fibre looked at fullness, weight and gut bacteria, mostly at several grams a day. (Kunnackal John 2018, Gut microbiome diet and weight meta-analysis)
Evidence level
Limited
Caution
Gas, bloating and loose stools are the usual effects of fermentable fibre.
Full profile

Potato Resistant Starch 100 mg printed

What it is
Potato starch that resists digestion in the small intestine and reaches the gut bacteria.
Research on file
Trials of resistant starch, often raw potato starch at gram doses, looked at blood sugar, fullness and gut bacteria. (Baptista 2024, Resistant starch narrative review)
Evidence level
Limited
Caution
Gas and bloating, mostly when the dose is large or started fast.
Full profile

Probiotic Blend 36 mg printed

What it is
Three named live bacteria: Bifidobacterium infantis, Clostridium butyricum and Akkermansia muciniphila.
Research on file
Probiotic effects are strain-specific. This label prints no strain codes and no CFU count, so studies of other products do not carry over. (ISAPP, Decoding a Probiotic Product Label)
Evidence level
Very limited
Caution
Live bacteria need a clinician's advice with a weak immune system, a central line or a serious illness.

Label: Refrigerate for optimal quality. Keep away from heat, light and humidity.

The garden is an illustration of what the label prints, not a test result. The routine is a demo.

Quick answer

SodaTide is a dietary supplement sold as a vegetarian capsule, 30 to a bottle. The label says to take one capsule daily with an 8 oz. glass of water and to refrigerate for optimal quality. It names three things: chicory root inulin (211 mg), potato resistant starch (100 mg) and a 36 mg probiotic blend of three strains with no CFU count. No study of SodaTide was found. It is not a drug and not a weight-loss medicine.

What it is01

What is SodaTide?

SodaTide is a dietary supplement sold as a vegetarian capsule, 30 capsules to a bottle. The name says soda, but it is not a drink and not a medicine. People search for it as Soda Tide, Sodatides and a few misspellings, and all of them mean this one capsule.

The front of the bottle carries the tagline "Advanced Metabolic Science" and three claim lines with asterisks: "Metabolic & Digestive Support*", "Supports Appetite Control and Satiety*" and "Promotes Energy Production From Fats*". Every asterisk points to the same sentence: these statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, and the product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. This site reports those lines as label wording, not as findings.

The Supplement Facts panel prints three lines for one capsule: chicory root inulin, potato resistant starch and a probiotic blend. The seller's sales page promises much more than the label, so this site follows the label first. Whether the capsule does anything is a separate question that no study of SodaTide can answer, because none was found.

How it is meant to work02

How does SodaTide work?

The sales story is that fibre and probiotics reach the gut and change how it behaves. That is a general idea about these ingredients, not a finding about this capsule.

The walk-through below follows a capsule from the glass of water to the large intestine, with one plain sentence for each stop and the research on file for it. It does not show that SodaTide reaches any of these places or does anything there. It teaches what each of the three names is.

  1. Label

    The capsule and the water

The label says take one capsule daily with an 8 oz. glass of water. The shell is hypromellose, a plant-based (vegetarian) capsule, per the label. The label prints no time of day.

Nothing in this step is a claim about results: this stop only repeats the label.

  2. Not printed

    The shell opens

A capsule shell opens in the stomach or small intestine. The label does not say where or how fast this one opens, and it prints no delayed-release or acid-resistant claim, so we do not say how many bacteria arrive alive. (NCCIH, Probiotics: Usefulness and Safety)

The label prints no survival or delivery claim for the blend.

  3. What research on file says

    Digestion passes by

Resistant starch is called resistant because it largely escapes digestion in the small intestine. Inulin is a fibre that people do not digest either. Both travel on, which is why they are called prebiotic candidates. (Cleveland Clinic, Resistant starch) (Cleveland Clinic, Inulin)

About 0.2 g of inulin and 0.1 g of resistant starch are printed per capsule.

  4. What research on file says

    Gut bacteria ferment fibre

In the large intestine, gut bacteria ferment fibres and resistant starch. Gases such as hydrogen are one result, which is why gas and bloating are the common effects of fermentable fibre, mostly at higher doses. (Mayo Clinic, Dietary fiber) (Harvard Nutrition Source, Fiber)

Studies of inulin and resistant starch used grams a day, many times the printed amounts.

A teaching walk-through of where the three label names go in general. It does not show that SodaTide reaches, survives or does anything at any stop. Without JavaScript, all four stops are listed above.

The how it works page adds the evidence level for each step.

What does the SodaTide label say?

The label image we hold shows a suggested use, storage and caution text, the distributor, the bottle front, the Supplement Facts panel, the other ingredients and the FDA statement. Everything below is typed out from that image.

Tap a number to read that part of the label. The suggested use is one capsule daily with an 8 oz. glass of water. No time of day is printed, although the sales page prefers the morning before a meal. The distributor line names Instituto Experience in Lakeland, Florida, which is not this website and not its order desk.

  14. Potato Resistant Starch, 100 mg

Potato (Resistant Starch) (tuber), 100 mg per capsule: 0.1 g of a starch that is usually studied at grams a day. (Cleveland Clinic, Resistant starch)

  15. Probiotic Blend, 36 mg

Probiotic Blend, 36 mg, naming Bifidobacterium infantis, Clostridium butyricum and Akkermansia muciniphila. That is a weight, not a CFU count, and no per-strain amount is printed. (ISAPP, Decoding a Probiotic Product Label)

  16. Daily Value not established

A dagger marks all three lines: 'Daily Value Not Established'. A Daily Value is a reference amount; none exists for these names. (FDA, Daily Value on the Nutrition and Supplement Facts labels)

The label facts page adds the transcript, what each line means and what is missing.

The formula04

How much of each ingredient is in one SodaTide capsule?

Chicory root inulin is 211 mg, potato resistant starch is 100 mg and the probiotic blend is 36 mg. Together that is 347 mg, a little over a third of a gram.

The bubbles below are drawn to the printed milligrams. For scale, studies of fibre and resistant starch often use grams a day, which is many times more. That gap does not make the capsule safe or unsafe. It means study doses cannot be copied onto it.

  1. 211mgChicory Root InulinNamed first on the label
  2. 100mgPotato Resistant StarchNamed second on the label
  3. 36mgProbiotic BlendNamed third on the label

Bubble area follows the milligrams printed on the label: 211 mg, 100 mg and 36 mg. The 36 mg is the weight of all three probiotic strains together, not a CFU count, so a bacteria count cannot be read from it. Together the three lines weigh 347 mg per capsule; the capsule shell and the other ingredients are extra.

Build your own day. Type each food and the grams of fibre printed on its Nutrition Facts label. No numbers are filled in for you.

0 g typed so far. The FDA Daily Value for dietary fibre is 28 g on a 2,000-calorie diet (FDA, Daily Value on the Nutrition and Supplement Facts labels).

0.2 ginulin printed on the SodaTide label (211 mg)
0.1 gresistant starch printed (100 mg)
About 1%of 28 g: the two prebiotic lines together, 0.3 g

Fibre that ferments in the gut can cause gas and bloating, mostly when intake rises quickly (Mayo Clinic, Dietary fiber). The label amounts are far below the gram doses used in most trials. Your own numbers stay in your browser tab and are never sent anywhere.

The probiotics05

What does the probiotic blend on the SodaTide label tell you?

It names three strains and a weight, 36 mg. It does not print how many live organisms there are, so a reader cannot compare it with a study.

The checklist below is built from how probiotic labels are usually read. It shows which items this label prints in full and which it leaves out.

3 of 9 items a probiotic label usually carries are printed in full on this label (ISAPP, Decoding a Probiotic Product Label)

  • Genus and speciesPrinted

Printed: Bifidobacterium infantis, Clostridium butyricum, Akkermansia muciniphila.

  • Strain designationNot printed

Not printed. Research on a probiotic is strain-specific, so a species name alone does not tell you which studies apply.

  • Amount in CFUNot printed

Not printed. The label gives 36 mg for the whole blend, which is a weight, not a count of live bacteria.

  • Amount at the end of shelf lifeNot printed

Not printed, because no CFU count is printed at all.

  • Per-strain amountsNot printed

Not printed. The three strains share one 36 mg line.

  • StoragePartly

Printed: 'Refrigerate for optimal quality.' and 'Keep away from heat, light, and humidity'. No temperature or time is given.

  • Suggested usePrinted

Printed: one capsule daily with an 8 oz. glass of water.

  • Best-before or lotNot printed

Not on the label image we have. The seller gave lot ST-26/SO-7402; ask the order desk to match it to your bottle.

The checklist follows public guidance on reading probiotic labels, not a law. A missing item does not mean the bacteria are absent or unsafe; it means a buyer cannot check the amount or the strain.

The research06

Is there evidence for the three ingredients in SodaTide?

For weight and metabolism the human evidence on each name is limited, and none of it tested this capsule. Fibre is well studied as a food component, but a few milligrams is not a food portion.

Reviews of probiotics and weight report small average changes with wide variation (Kunnackal John 2018, Gut microbiome diet and weight meta-analysis). Resistant starch trials mostly used grams, and inulin is best known for gas and stool effects. Open any name for its own page.

  • Limited: small trials at gram doses; weight effects small or mixed. Small trials of inulin-type fibre on appetite, weight and gut bacteria; most used several grams a day. (Cleveland Clinic, Inulin) (WebMD, Inulin: Uses and Risks) (Harvard Nutrition Source, Fiber) (Kunnackal John 2018, Gut microbiome diet and weight meta-analysis)

  • Limited: small trials at gram doses; weight evidence limited. Trials of resistant starch (often raw potato starch in gram doses) on blood sugar, fullness and gut bacteria. (Cleveland Clinic, Resistant starch) (Harvard Health, Resistant starch) (Baptista 2024, Resistant starch narrative review)

  • Probiotic BlendVery limited

Very limited for these three names and for weight. Probiotic effects depend on the exact strain; studies of other strains looked at weight and gut symptoms. (NCCIH, Probiotics: Usefulness and Safety) (NIH ODS, Probiotics (health professional)) (ISAPP, Decoding a Probiotic Product Label) (Kunnackal John 2018, Gut microbiome diet and weight meta-analysis) (Cleveland Clinic, Probiotics and weight loss)

Bubbles show how much human research the linked sources describe for the uses the front of the bottle implies: appetite, metabolism and digestion. From 0 (none found) to 5 (strong). None of it tested SodaTide, and research on an ingredient is not proof that a product works at the printed amount.

Browse them all on the ingredients page.

Claims vs evidence07

Does SodaTide really work?

No source we found shows that SodaTide works, and none shows that it does not. The product itself has never been tested, so its claims stay claims.

The table sets each line from the bottle front next to what public sources say about that kind of claim. Where the sources are silent, we say so. The claims page goes through them in full.

  1. Bottle front“Metabolic & Digestive Support*”Product wording. The asterisk leads to the FDA statement, and no study of SodaTide was found. (FDA, Structure/Function Claims)
  2. Bottle front“Supports Appetite Control and Satiety*”Trials of inulin-type fibre and of resistant starch looked at fullness at gram doses with mixed results. The label prints 0.3 g for the two together. (Kunnackal John 2018, Gut microbiome diet and weight meta-analysis) (Baptista 2024, Resistant starch narrative review)
  3. Bottle front“Promotes Energy Production From Fats*”We found no source showing that a capsule with these three names changes how the body uses fat at the printed amounts.
  4. Bottle front“Advanced Metabolic Science”A tagline on a purple tab. It is not a measurement, a method or a test result.
  5. Sales page“transform your gut into a fat-burning machine”A figure of speech, not a measurement. No linked source shows a supplement doing this, and health claims need competent and reliable scientific evidence. (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance)
  6. Common claim“A probiotic resets your gut in weeks”Probiotic effects depend on the exact strain and the amount. This label prints no strain codes and no CFU count. (ISAPP, Decoding a Probiotic Product Label)
  7. InsteadHabits and a clinicianA healthy weight rests on eating patterns, activity and sleep, and a clinician can check medicines and medical causes. (CDC, Steps for Losing Weight)

Claims as printed on the bottle front, quoted from the sales page headline as relayed to us, or common in gut and weight ads. Health claims need competent and reliable scientific evidence (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance).

Storage08

Does SodaTide need to be kept in the fridge?

The label says "Refrigerate for optimal quality." The seller's brief says to refrigerate after opening. Both agree the fridge is the plan, and neither gives hours or temperatures.

Pick a moment below to see exactly what the label text says about it, and where it stays silent. When the label is silent, the order desk is the one to ask.

Label text: 'Refrigerate for optimal quality.' and 'Do not use if safety seal is damaged or missing.'

Check the seal and the lot, then follow the refrigerate line on your bottle. The brief we have says to refrigerate after opening and to confirm on the bottle; the label we have says refrigerate for optimal quality.

Label text: 'Keep away from heat, light, and humidity to preserve freshness.'

The label prints no number of hours or days out of the fridge and no temperature. It does not say a night out ruins a bottle. To be sure, ask the order desk: +1 (302) 200-3480.

Label text: 'Keep away from heat, light, and humidity to preserve freshness.'

Heat and light are what the label warns about, so a shaded cool bag is the plain-sense reading. Whether the capsules still count as 'optimal' after hours out is not printed.

Label text: 'Keep away from heat, light, and humidity to preserve freshness.'

Heat is the first thing the label names. A hot car is the opposite of that line. If a bottle was left in one, ask the order desk before you use it.

Label text: 'Store in a cool, dry place.' and 'Refrigerate for optimal quality.'

Both lines are on the bottle, and they differ in strictness. The label prints no rule for choosing, so ask the order desk which one applies to your bottle.

This tool only repeats the printed label text and says plainly what the label leaves out. It gives no shelf-life number, because none is printed. Order desk: +1 (302) 200-3480.

Can a weight-loss supplement hide drugs?

Yes, some can. The FDA warns that many products sold for weight loss have been found to contain undeclared drug ingredients, and some are sold as natural supplements (FDA, Weight Loss Product Notifications).

That is a warning about a category, not a finding about SodaTide. We found no public test, FDA notice or warning letter for this product, and the label lists no drug. We also cannot call it clean: absence from a list proves nothing. Walk through the four steps below, then see the red flags guide.

NOT ON THE LABEL
  1. FDA warns about the category

FDA has found hidden drug ingredients in many products sold for weight loss, including some sold as supplements (FDA, Weight Loss Product Notifications).

  2. They look like supplements

They are often sold as natural or herbal products, with a clean label that lists no drug at all.

  3. Real cases exist

FDA tests have found undeclared drugs such as sibutramine in named weight-loss products (FDA, Slim-K hidden drug notice (example)).

  4. Why it matters

Hidden drugs can raise blood pressure or heart rate and interact with a person's own medicines (FDA, Weight Loss Product Notifications). A label that lists no drug proves nothing either way.

Illustration only. It does not say that SodaTide contains a hidden drug: no test or FDA notice for it was found, and FDA says its notices cover only a small fraction of products, so being absent from them proves nothing.

Medicine check10

Is SodaTide safe with diabetes or other medicines?

It depends on what you take, and the label does not answer it. Fibre and probiotics can matter with some medicines and conditions, so the safe move is to ask your doctor or pharmacist before the first capsule.

The label itself asks pregnant or nursing mothers, anyone under 18 and anyone with a known medical condition to consult a physician. The check below shows which situations raise which question, with the source for each. It is a reading aid, not advice, and an empty result does not clear anything. Keep taking every prescribed medicine exactly as directed.

Tick every item that applies to you
Tick what applies to you

A reading aid, not medical advice. A blank result does not mean a medicine is safe with this capsule. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine and supplement you take (NCCIH, Using Dietary Supplements Wisely).

Read the diabetes medicines guide and the side effects page for more.

How you take it11

How do you take SodaTide?

The label says to take one capsule daily with an 8 oz. glass of water. It is a vegetarian capsule, swallowed whole.

That is the whole instruction. No time of day, no food rule and no second dose is printed. One bottle is 30 capsules, which is 30 days at the label dose. The morning demo in the hero walks through a day.

  1. 01

Read the label and check your medicines

Before the first capsule, read the caution on the label and our medicine list. Diabetes medicine, a weak immune system, gut disease or surgery soon mean a call to your doctor or pharmacist first.

  2. 02

Take 1 capsule with 8 oz of water

The label says: as a dietary supplement, take one (1) capsule daily with an 8 oz. glass of water. The sales page prefers the morning before a meal; the label prints no time of day.

  3. 03

Keep it cold and away from light

The label says refrigerate for optimal quality, and keep away from heat, light and humidity. Check that the safety seal is whole and keep the bottle out of reach of children.

  4. 04

Stop at one and keep notes

One capsule is one serving: the label says not to exceed the recommended dose. Write down how your belly feels. If something is wrong, stop and call a clinician.

Safety check12

Who should talk to a doctor before taking SodaTide?

Anyone pregnant or nursing, anyone under 18, anyone with a medical condition and anyone taking medicine, especially for diabetes. The label says so in its own words.

Six quick questions below sort you into "ask first" or "no red flags on this list". The second answer does not mean the capsule is right for you. It means this list found nothing to flag.

1. Do you take diabetes medicine or insulin?
2. Do you have a weak immune system, take chemotherapy or steroids, have a central line or a serious illness?
3. Do you have IBS, IBD, SIBO, a bowel blockage or other gut disease?
4. Are you under 18, pregnant or nursing?
5. Do you have surgery or a procedure coming up?
6. Right now: severe belly pain, blood in the stool, black stools, repeated vomiting, fever with diarrhea, swelling of the face or throat, or trouble breathing?
Answer all sixYour result shows here. It is a checklist, not medical advice.
Before you use it

SodaTide is a dietary supplement, not a medicine. Ask your doctor or pharmacist first if you take diabetes medicine or insulin, a blood thinner or an immune-suppressing medicine, if you have a gut disease such as irritable bowel syndrome or inflammatory bowel disease, a weak immune system, a central line or a serious illness, if you have surgery coming, or if you are pregnant or nursing. Keep taking every prescribed medicine exactly as directed. See side effects and interactions.

What has evidence13

What actually helps with weight?

Food, movement, sleep and a clinician visit have the evidence. Supplements do not: NIH says there is little reliable evidence that weight-loss supplements work, and some carry risks. (NIH ODS, Dietary Supplements for Weight Loss (health professional))

The list below shows what sources do recommend. After it come the warning signs that mean you should stop waiting and call.

  • Talk to a clinician firstA clinician can check medicines, thyroid, sleep and other medical causes of weight change, and say which products to avoid. (NCCIH, Using Dietary Supplements Wisely)
  • Build the plateFibre comes mostly from vegetables, fruit, beans and whole grains. Raise it slowly and drink water. (Mayo Clinic, Dietary fiber)
  • Move most daysAdults are advised to be active for at least 150 minutes a week, plus muscle work on two days. (CDC, Steps for Losing Weight)
  • Sleep and stressShort sleep and long stress change appetite for many people, and both are free to fix first. (CDC, Steps for Losing Weight)
  • Check any supplement against the factsWeight-loss supplements have little reliable evidence of large effects, and some contain hidden drugs. (NIH ODS, Dietary Supplements for Weight Loss (health professional)) (FDA, Weight Loss Product Notifications)
  • Review everything you takeTell every provider about every supplement. A pharmacist can check interactions. (NCCIH, Using Dietary Supplements Wisely)

When to get help instead of waiting

  1. Severe or lasting belly pain, or a swollen, hard bellyGet urgent care. Do not take another capsule.
  2. Blood in the stool, black stools or repeated vomitingCall your doctor now or go to urgent care.
  3. Fever with diarrhea, or diarrhea that does not stopCall your doctor. Dehydration can build fast.
  4. Swelling of the face or throat, hives, trouble breathingSigns of a severe allergic reaction. Call 911.
  5. A child ate capsules or you took too manyCall Poison Help at 800-222-1222 and keep it handy; call 911 if they cannot be woken.

General safety advice for supplements: (NCCIH, Using Dietary Supplements Wisely). This list is not complete, and a supplement is never a reason to wait.

Kit sizes14

How is SodaTide sold, and what does it cost?

There are three kits: 2 bottles at $79 each, 3 bottles at $69 each and 6 bottles at $49 each. Confirm the price, shipping and the guarantee on the live checkout.

The seller's guarantee is 60 days money-back from purchase, and the sales page also asks for at least 30 days of use. Confirm the live policy before you order. One bottle is 30 capsules, so the kits give 60, 90 or 180 days at the label dose.

The three kit prices are the ones the seller supplied for October 28, 2026 (SodaTide sales page (mysodatide.com)). The live checkout decides the final price, the shipping cost and the guarantee terms, so read them there before you pay. Days are arithmetic: 30 capsules a bottle at 1 capsule a day. We never show struck "was" prices, countdowns or stock warnings.

3 months

For 90 days at 1 a day you need 3 bottles (90 capsules). Fewest spare bottles: 1 x 3-bottle kit, listed at $69 per bottle ($207 for the kit). Confirm on the live checkout.

A planning aid. It counts bottles in kits of 2, 3 and 6 and quotes only the three kit prices, never a total across several kits. It is not advice to take more than the label says: that is 1 capsule a day.

I do laundry for the house. That's the cue. I take diabetes tablets. Showed the bottle. They said watch the meter and keep the tablets. I keep it by the hymnals. I take it after I hang the keys.

I keep a tackle box in the truck. Bloat after beans was the use case. Still eat beans. Walk after. I keep it in the tackle box. I take it before I start the truck.

I sit with crossword coffee. Travel: cooler bag for the opened bottle. Unopened stays in the tote. I keep it on the sewing table. I take it when I clip the leash.

SodaTide FAQ

What is SodaTide?

SodaTide is a dietary supplement sold as a vegetarian capsule, 30 to a bottle. The label says to take one capsule daily with an 8 oz. glass of water. It is not a drink, not a drug and not a weight-loss medicine.

Does SodaTide work?

No study of SodaTide was found, so no one can say it works. Its three named ingredients each have limited evidence for weight and metabolism. See the claims page.

What is in SodaTide capsules?

Per capsule: chicory root inulin 211 mg, potato resistant starch 100 mg and a probiotic blend of 36 mg naming Bifidobacterium infantis, Clostridium butyricum and Akkermansia muciniphila. No CFU count is printed.

Does the FDA approve SodaTide?

No supplement is approved by the FDA before sale, and SodaTide is no exception. The label carries the standard statement that the FDA has not evaluated its claims.

Can I take SodaTide with medicine?

Ask your doctor or pharmacist first, especially if you take diabetes medicine. Use the medicine check above.
