What Is in SodaTide? The Ingredients List, Line by Line

Quick answer

SodaTide is a capsule whose label names three ingredients per capsule: chicory root inulin 211 mg, potato resistant starch 100 mg and a probiotic blend of 36 mg. The blend names three bacteria and prints no CFU count. The three lines add up to 347 mg. Other ingredients are the hypromellose shell, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and silica.

The list01

What is in SodaTide?

Each SodaTide capsule holds three named ingredients: chicory root inulin, potato resistant starch and a probiotic blend. The label prints a milligram amount for each one.

The probiotic blend names Bifidobacterium infantis, Clostridium butyricum and Akkermansia muciniphila. The other ingredients, with no amounts, are hypromellose (the vegetarian capsule), microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and silica. The label we hold prints no allergen statement.

The label is our source of truth. The seller's brief says no milligrams are printed, but the label prints them. If your bottle differs from what we print, trust the bottle. Some people search for soda tide ingredients; it is the same capsule.

The formula02

What is the SodaTide formula in milligrams?

The SodaTide formula is 211 mg of inulin, 100 mg of resistant starch and 36 mg of a probiotic blend, which is 347 mg per capsule, or about a third of a gram.

The probiotic line is one combined weight. US rules require only the total weight of the microorganisms, which can include dead cells and so does not show how many were alive (NIH ODS, Probiotics (health professional)). Trials of resistant starch used about 1 to 66 g a day (Baptista 2024, Resistant starch narrative review). Milligrams against grams neither makes the capsule safe nor unsafe.

  1. 211mgChicory Root InulinNamed first on the label
  2. 100mgPotato Resistant StarchNamed second on the label
  3. 36mgProbiotic BlendNamed third on the label

Bubble area follows the milligrams printed on the label: 211 mg, 100 mg and 36 mg. The 36 mg is the weight of all three probiotic strains together, not a CFU count, so a bacteria count cannot be read from it. Together the three lines weigh 347 mg per capsule; the capsule shell and the other ingredients are extra.

Line by line03

What does each SodaTide ingredient do?

Each is a kind of ingredient with its own research, and none of that research tested SodaTide. Open a card for what the ingredient is, what is printed and what to watch.

Each name also has its own page: chicory root inulin, potato resistant starch and the probiotic blend.

The rest of the list04

What are the other ingredients in SodaTide capsules?

The label lists four other ingredients, and prints no amount for any of them: hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and silica.

Hypromellose is the plant-based shell that makes the capsule vegetarian. The other three are the kind of ingredients capsules often use as fillers or to keep powder flowing. The label does not say why they are here. If you avoid an ingredient for allergy or belief, ask the distributor named on the label.

The research05

Is there evidence for the SodaTide ingredients?

For weight and metabolism the evidence is limited for inulin and resistant starch and very limited for the probiotic blend. No source tested the three together.

A review of 21 trials found prebiotic groups about 0.90 kg lighter than placebo groups and probiotic groups about 0.65 kg lighter, a fragile result over a median of 12 weeks (Kunnackal John 2018, Gut microbiome diet and weight meta-analysis). Those trials tested other products and doses.

The three names exactly as the Supplement Facts panel prints them, in its order. Daily Value is not established for any of them. No CFU count is printed.

Fibre in context06

How much fibre is in a SodaTide capsule?

The inulin and resistant starch lines come to 311 mg, or 0.311 g, about 1% of the 28 g fibre Daily Value (FDA, Daily Value on the Nutrition and Supplement Facts labels).

Fermentable fibre can cause bloating and cramping when intake rises fast, and people with irritable bowel syndrome may be sensitive to inulin-type fibres (Harvard Nutrition Source, Fiber). Type in your own foods below to see where a day's fibre comes from.

Build your own day. Type each food and the grams of fibre printed on its Nutrition Facts label. No numbers are filled in for you.

0 g typed so far. The FDA Daily Value for dietary fibre is 28 g on a 2,000-calorie diet (FDA, Daily Value on the Nutrition and Supplement Facts labels).

Fibre that ferments in the gut can cause gas and bloating, mostly when intake rises quickly (Mayo Clinic, Dietary fiber). The label amounts are far below the gram doses used in most trials. Your own numbers stay in your browser tab and are never sent anywhere.

Look closer07

Which SodaTide ingredients need a closer look?

Two lines deserve a question to your doctor or pharmacist: chicory for people with pollen allergy, and live bacteria for people with weak immune systems.

Cleveland Clinic says people bothered by ragweed or pollen may be more prone to issues with chicory (Cleveland Clinic, Coffee Alternatives (chicory)). The ACAAI food list for ragweed does not name chicory (ACAAI, Pollen Food Allergy Syndrome). Ask an allergist rather than guess.

Probiotics carry rare serious infections in vulnerable people (Harvard Nutrition Source, Probiotics for Gut Health). Quality varies too: no public test of this product was found. See side effects and the label facts.

FAQ08

SodaTide questions people ask

Does SodaTide contain caffeine or stimulants?

The label lists no caffeine or stimulant. It names inulin, resistant starch and a probiotic blend, plus a shell and three other ingredients. Labels can differ from contents, and no lab test of this product was found.

Is there Akkermansia in SodaTide?

The label names Akkermansia muciniphila in the probiotic blend, with no amount for it alone. No source we read covers it as a supplement, so we cannot say what it adds.

Why does SodaTide list milligrams instead of live counts?

Under US rules a probiotic line shows total weight, and live counts are optional (NIH ODS, Probiotics (health professional)). The label prints no CFU, so a reader cannot compare it with a study.

Is the SodaTide ingredient list the same as the sales page?

Mostly, but the sales page says more. We follow the label. Words such as lactose-free are not on the label we hold, so we do not repeat them.

Are the SodaTide ingredients natural?

They are food-type ingredients, but natural does not mean safe. NCCIH says natural is not a safety guarantee (NCCIH, Weight Control). The quoted "100% natural" badge names no certifier.
