SodaTide FDA Statement: What the Asterisk Sentence Really Says
The SodaTide FDA statement is the label sentence the asterisks point to: the FDA has not evaluated the claims, and the product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. It is a required notice, not a stamp of approval. The label has three starred claims and no study behind them that we could find.

The sentence01
What is the SodaTide FDA statement?
It is the notice that every starred claim on the bottle points to. Its job is to tell you the FDA has not checked what the front says.
A supplement may describe how an ingredient affects the normal structure or function of the body. The maker must have evidence that the claim is truthful and not misleading. The label must carry this notice. The FDA does not pre-approve the claim. (FDA, Structure/Function Claims)
| Label wording | Plain meaning |
|---|---|
| Not evaluated by the FDA | No agency review of the claim before sale |
| Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent | The product makes no disease claim |
| Study of SodaTide | None found |
Approval02
Does the FDA statement mean the FDA signed off on SodaTide?
No. The FDA does not approve dietary supplements before they are sold, so there is no approval to print.
The agency says makers have the initial responsibility for safety, and that it does not test supplements before sale. (FDA, Questions and Answers on Dietary Supplements) A seller badge about a registered facility is not an approval either, and we saw no registration number to check.
The notice also does not call the product safe or unsafe. It is silent on both, and so is this site, because no source tested the capsule.
Step by step03
How do you read a starred claim on the bottle?
Treat each star as a pointer: this line is wording, and the notice is the fine print for it. Four small steps keep that straight.
- 01
Spot the asterisk
Three front claims end in an asterisk: Metabolic & Digestive Support*, Supports Appetite Control and Satiety*, Promotes Energy Production From Fats*.
- 02
Find the statement
It reads: these statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
- 03
Read the claim as wording
A starred line is the maker's description. It is not a finding, and no linked source tested SodaTide.
- 04
Ask who holds the evidence
The maker must be able to back a claim. Ask the order desk what that evidence is, and read it before you decide.

What evidence should sit behind the claims?
For health benefit claims, the FTC says evidence should be competent and reliable, and usually means randomized human trials. (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance) That is the bar to hold any starred claim to.
We found no trial of SodaTide. Studies of its ingredient names used gram doses, while the label prints milligrams, so they cannot be lined up with this bottle. The gap neither makes it safe nor unsafe. See the claims and sources page for each line.
The FDA also warns that many weight-loss products hide undeclared drugs. We found no public test, notice or warning letter for SodaTide, and absence from a list proves nothing. To report a problem with a supplement, the FDA runs a safety portal. (FDA, How to Report a Problem with Dietary Supplements)

FAQ05
SodaTide questions people ask
Why does the SodaTide label have asterisks?
Each asterisk links a front claim to the FDA statement at the bottom. It marks the line as a description of the product's role, not a finding. Three lines on the front carry one.
Does the SodaTide FDA statement mean the product is unsafe?
No. The notice is required on supplement claims of this kind. It says nothing either way about safety, which is why you should ask a clinician if you take medicine or have a condition.
Can SodaTide claim to treat a disease?
No. Only a drug can make a disease claim, and the label says the product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Treat any such wording elsewhere as a red flag.
