SodaTide Constipation: Will It Help or Make It Worse?
SodaTide constipation is not a topic the label covers. The bottle makes no bowel claim and prints 211 mg of chicory root inulin, about 0.2 g. Sources list constipation as a possible effect of inulin, and one small study used 20 to 40 g. We found no test of SodaTide, so ask a clinician.

Does SodaTide say it helps with constipation?
No. The front claims are "Metabolic & Digestive Support*", "Supports Appetite Control and Satiety*" and "Promotes Energy Production From Fats*". None names bowel habits or constipation.
The asterisks lead to the FDA statement: not evaluated by the FDA, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. So the bottle does not promise relief, and this site does not either.

Can inulin cause or relieve constipation?

The label prints 211 mg, which is 0.211 g. A 20 g dose is about 95 times larger. That gap neither makes the capsule safe nor unsafe, and it means that study cannot be applied to this bottle. We could not confirm any effect of SodaTide on bowel habits.

How much water goes with a fibre supplement?
Plenty. The advice for adding fibre is to raise it slowly over a few weeks and drink enough water. (Mayo Clinic, Dietary fiber)
The label asks for one capsule with an 8 oz. glass of water, which is about 237 mL. It prints no wider fluid target, and we found no source with a number for this product. Constipation has many causes, so a new capsule should not be the first thing you change on your own.
