SodaTide Appetite Control and Satiety: What the Sources Say
SodaTide appetite control and satiety is a front-label claim printed as "Supports Appetite Control and Satiety*". Satiety means feeling full after eating. We found no study of SodaTide, and its two fibre lines add up to about 0.3 g, far below the gram doses fibre trials used.

The words01
What does Supports Appetite Control and Satiety* mean?
Satiety is the feeling of being full after you eat. The label says the capsule supports it, but it names no measure, no size of effect and no time frame.
An asterisk follows the claim, and it leads to the FDA statement. We found no study of SodaTide, so the line stays the maker's wording.
| Item | On the label |
|---|---|
| Inulin from chicory root | 211 mg (0.211 g) |
| Potato resistant starch | 100 mg (0.1 g) |
| Size of any appetite effect | Not printed |
| Study of this capsule | None found |
Fibre and fullness02
Can fibre make you feel fuller?
It can, in theory. Inulin is a soluble fibre that forms a gel and slows stomach emptying, which may keep you full longer. (Cleveland Clinic, Inulin)
The source gives no dose and no weight data, so it shows a mechanism, not a result. The two fibre lines on this label add up to about 0.3 g. Use the meter below to see how that sits against the 28 g Daily Value.
Build your own day. Type each food and the grams of fibre printed on its Nutrition Facts label. No numbers are filled in for you.
0 g typed so far. The FDA Daily Value for dietary fibre is 28 g on a 2,000-calorie diet (FDA, Daily Value on the Nutrition and Supplement Facts labels).
Fibre that ferments in the gut can cause gas and bloating, mostly when intake rises quickly (Mayo Clinic, Dietary fiber). The label amounts are far below the gram doses used in most trials. Your own numbers stay in your browser tab and are never sent anywhere.
Trials03
Do fibre and starch trials show less appetite or weight?
Only small effects, with caveats. A review of 21 trials in adults with BMI 25 or more found prebiotic arms about 0.90 kg lighter than placebo, after a median of 12 weeks. The authors called the finding fragile, because very few arms tested prebiotics. (Kunnackal John 2018, Gut microbiome diet and weight meta-analysis)
For resistant starch, a review found weight evidence weak. Doses ran from about 1 g to 66 g a day, with most work on maize starch. (Baptista 2024, Resistant starch narrative review)
The label lines are milligrams. That is not a match for trial doses, and the gap neither makes the capsule safe nor unsafe. Neither review tested SodaTide.

Who should ask a clinician before using a satiety supplement?
Anyone who takes diabetes medicine should ask first. Insulin, sulfonylureas and meglitinides can cause low blood sugar, and skipped meals are one trigger. (NIDDK, Low Blood Glucose (Hypoglycemia))
So a product that might change how much you eat deserves a pharmacist's look. Keep taking every prescribed medicine as directed. Raise fibre slowly too, because a fast rise can cause gas and cramping. (Harvard Nutrition Source, Fiber)
The FDA warns that many weight-loss products hold undeclared drugs. We found no public test, notice or warning letter for SodaTide, and absence from a list proves nothing. (FDA, Weight Loss Product Notifications) Read more on the claims page.

FAQ05
SodaTide questions people ask
What is satiety on a supplement label?
Satiety is the feeling of fullness after eating, which can delay the next meal. A label that says it supports satiety has to back that wording, yet it does not have to show a size of effect.
Is SodaTide appetite control and satiety proven?
We could not confirm that. No source we read tested SodaTide, and the front claims we have do not mention cravings.
How much fibre in SodaTide helps with fullness?
No amount is shown to. The two fibre lines total about 0.3 g, and trials used grams. That neither makes the capsule safe nor unsafe; it means trial results do not carry over.
