SodaTide Allergens: What to Check Before You Take It
SodaTide allergens are not listed: the label we have prints no allergen statement. It does name chicory root, potato, three bacteria and four other ingredients. Two consumer health pages warn that people with ragweed or pollen allergy may react to chicory, so ask an allergist before you try it.

The label01
Does the SodaTide label list allergens?
No. The label we have prints no allergen statement, which is a line that would name common allergens such as milk or wheat.
That is a fact about what is printed, not a finding about what is inside. We saw no allergen test either. The seller supplied badges that mention dairy and gluten, but we could not verify them and name no certifier.
| Item | On the label we have |
|---|---|
| Named plant sources | Chicory root, potato tuber |
| Named bacteria | Bifidobacterium infantis, Clostridium butyricum, Akkermansia muciniphila |
| Other ingredients | Hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silica |
| Allergen statement | Not printed |
| Allergen test result | Not printed |
Chicory02
Can ragweed or pollen allergy matter with chicory root?
It may. Two consumer health pages warn that people with ragweed or pollen allergy can be more prone to problems with chicory. (Cleveland Clinic, Coffee Alternatives (chicory))
The picture is not neat. A food list from an allergy college names several foods tied to ragweed pollen and does not name chicory. (ACAAI, Pollen Food Allergy Syndrome) So the warning rests on those two pages, and it is not proof that SodaTide will bother anyone.
Chicory root inulin is the first named line at 211 mg. We cannot say how much allergen survives in that ingredient, and we found no source that does. Ask an allergist if you react to ragweed or pollen.
If you react03
What are the signs of an allergic reaction to a supplement?
Swelling of the face or throat, hives and trouble breathing are the signs to treat as an emergency. Gas and cramping are different and are the usual effects of fermentable fibre.

Who should ask first about SodaTide allergens?
Anyone with a known food, pollen or ingredient allergy should ask a doctor or pharmacist before the first capsule, and so should anyone pregnant, nursing, under 18 or on medicine.
Read your own bottle, not just this post. Write down the label's ingredient names and show them to your clinician. Keep taking every prescribed medicine. See our side effects page and the who it is for page.
No test of SodaTide was found, so a missing allergen line settles nothing either way.

FAQ05
SodaTide questions people ask
Does SodaTide contain common allergens?
We cannot say. The label we have prints no allergen statement and no test result. Read your own bottle and ask the distributor on the label or a pharmacist if you must avoid a specific allergen.
Is chicory root a problem for ragweed allergy?
Two consumer health pages warn it may be. An allergy college food list for ragweed does not name chicory. Because the sources differ, ask an allergist before you try a chicory ingredient.
Who do I ask about a SodaTide ingredient?
Ask a pharmacist first. The label names a distributor, Instituto Experience of Lakeland, FL. We cannot answer allergy questions for you.
